Time and a Half Calculator

Time and a half = your rate × 1.5. It’s the federal overtime multiplier past 40 hours a week — and for holiday shifts it’s a perk, not a law. Below: the 1.5× number for every common wage, including each state’s minimum.

Time and a half for $20/hr is $30/hr. For the $7.25 federal minimum it’s $10.88; for California’s $16.90 minimum it’s $25.35.

  • $15/hr$22.50
  • $18/hr$27.00
  • $20/hr$30.00
  • $25/hr$37.50
  • Federal minimum $7.25$10.88

Multiplier set by the FLSA for overtime; holiday time-and-a-half is employer policy.
