How it’s calculated & sources
We convert through a U.S. dollar base using indicative reference rates. These are approximate — for any real transaction, check a live source, since rates change constantly.
The inverse rate is simply 1 divided by the quoted rate, so both directions of a pair are visible at once. If a bank/kiosk fee percentage is entered (0% by default), the “after typical bank markup” figure reduces the converted amount by that percentage — it does not change the mid-market converted amount or rate shown above, which always reflect the indicative mid-market rate.
